Privacy Policy

1. Who runs OFFCUT

OFFCUT is operated by Rishit Arora in India (“OFFCUT”, “we”, “us”). The website is currently available at offcut-ott.pages.dev. A dedicated public contact email has not been set up yet. We will add it when OFFCUT has its own domain. Film removal requests can currently be sent from Creator Studio.

2. Information we handle

• Account information: your name, email address and authentication details. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth; OFFCUT does not store or see your plain-text password after sign-in.
• Viewer profiles: profile names, selected genres and languages, watchlists, play events and playback progress. This information keeps recommendations, watchlists and continue-watching separate for each profile.
• Filmmaker submissions: film title, synopsis, genre, runtime, language, year, country, age guidance, director and cast credits, posters, the submitted MP4 film file, review status and feedback.
• Technical information: our service providers may process connection details, browser/device information, request times and errors to deliver and protect the service.
• Browser storage: sign-in session data and the selected viewer profile are saved in your browser so the service can keep you signed in and remember who is watching.

3. Why we use it

We use information to create and secure accounts; manage profiles; save watchlists and viewing progress; recommend films using profile preferences and viewing activity; receive and review film submissions; publish approved film details and playback; administer removal requests; and investigate errors, misuse or security issues.

4. What is public

Only approved films appear in the public catalogue. Their title, synopsis, genre, language, runtime, director/cast credits, year, country, age guidance, posters and OFFCUT playback may be visible to visitors. Account email, sign-in details, private profiles, watchlists and viewing progress are not shown in the public catalogue.

5. Service providers and sharing

OFFCUT uses Supabase for authentication, database and storage; Cloudflare to deliver the website; and Google when you choose Google sign-in. These providers process information as needed to deliver their services and under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers in this version.

We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably needed to protect users, OFFCUT or rights holders.

6. Age requirement

OFFCUT accounts and viewer profiles are for adults aged 18 or older. Filmmakers must also be at least 18. At account creation, you must confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly accept accounts for people under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, stop using that account and contact OFFCUT once its public contact email is available.

7. Storage, security and retention

We use access controls and service-provider security features to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security. We keep account and viewing information while the account is active and remove it when it is no longer needed, subject to legal, security and operational retention needs. Account deletion is not self-service yet. An approved film removed from the public catalogue may remain in private service storage or backups for a time; removal disables its OFFCUT catalogue listing and playback, but does not erase backups immediately.

8. Your choices and requests

You can manage profile preferences and request removal of an approved film through Creator Studio. You may also request access to, correction of or deletion of account information. A dedicated public email for privacy requests is not available yet and will be added when OFFCUT has its own domain. We will update this policy when that contact channel is ready.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. The current effective date appears above. OFFCUT's public privacy contact email will be added after its domain is set up. For film removal, use the request control beside the approved film in Creator Studio.
